This day has been created by the UN to recognize the role of women and girls in science and technology! I’m super proud to share with you so many examples of women who are doing incredible work. “Left my job as Data Scientist and found a more challenging position as Machine Learning Engineer!”




Feeling a bit tired but I want to share with you that I successfully survived my first week as a Machine Learning Engineer 💪🏼 A few days ago I shared that I left my job as Data Scientist… I decided to switch to a pure/hardcore (😅) ML position as I needed a more challenging environment and projects, and so far it has not disappointed me at all. I am very happy with my decision. I have to say… it was a bit risky because you never know if you are going for something better or worse until you try… but hey, trying hard pays off. Demonstrated. Now let’s celebrate and enjoy the weekend! ✨ 2 YEARS ✨!! . February marks 2 years since I started this account Science Bae 🧪💄! I never in a millions years would have thought it would grow to what it is today! I can’t express enough how grateful I am for this community we have built together. A place where everyone is ACCEPTED, all passions are CELEBRATED, science is COMMUNICATED, and FRIENDS are made. Not only am I sharing science with you all, but I’m also sharing my life… And trying to be a REAL as possible with you about everything I go though🙏🏼. . Last year when I celebrated 1 year of science bae, I shared with you all of the things I experienced in my first year. To keep with that tradition, I am again sharing what this year has brought for me🤞🏼☝🏼. . .‼️Now for some REAL TALKS ‼️ As much as I am grateful for this past year and excited to see where the next year takes me, a little part of me is nervous🙊. A lot is about to change for me.. I’m scheduled to defend my PhD by the end of the year, I’m looking into potential job opportunities, I’m thinking about starting a family, and I have no idea where I will be next February (location wise). I guess the thought of no longer being a grad student frightens me a little. I’ve been in post-secondary schooling for 10 years now, and life not as a student seems slightly foreign to me😕. . How did you find the transition from student to working adult? Are you in a similar boat as me with finishing up soon? Send tips and stories please 😩! . Nonetheless, I want to take the time to THANK each and every one of you for supporting me through this journey! You have no idea how much your kind words mean to me when I’m having a 💩 day. Today is the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, which has been created by the UN to recognize the role women and girls play in science and technology!

Women are amazing in every field – and especially in STEM fields. And there has been a long history of “hidden” female pioneers – the street in front NASA’s headquarters has been renamed to “Hidden Figures Way” for a reason! So here’s to all of you, amazing women ? Don’t ever underappreciate your achievements and strengths, you are awesome!
