Women in Tech Weekly Issue 17

Another Tuesday, another edition of Women in Tech Weekly Newsletter. This one is short and sweet, with a single but very significant celebration, but there are some great resources for you to get you started in the amazing world of coding and tech!

Hope you find them useful and I’ll see you in Women in Tech Weekly Celebrations next time ? (link for submissions below)

Celebrations ??

Logan got a job writing for a cyber security company!

In her own words:

“I’ve been in school studying IT and looking for a job writing about my interest in tech. I started writing blogs, marketing copy, and social media posts to get the word out about my company’s cyber security courses. It’s a dream come true to combine both my passion for computers and writing into one career!“

Resources ?‍?

Kaylee says:

“Gives concrete tips on prepping for a technical interview and highlights helpful resources. I go beyond the typical advice of “do Leetcode” and offer ways to build interview prep into a routine that will help you prep for success!”

And two resources created and shared by me 🙂

Those of us who live in cities don’t understand the luxury that we experience in having healthcare services easily available and accessible to us. People who live in rural areas sometimes need to travel hours if not days to get medical assistance, which means that there are huge barriers to getting medical help when they need it. This is where technologies like Telehealth come in!

It’s a very powerful technology and it’s changing so many lives! To find out more about Telehealth and about its potential impact on the health industry, I have interviewed Dr. Todd Czartoski, who’s the Chief Executive at Telehealth and Chief Medical Technology Officer for Providence St. Joseph Health.

When starting to code, first you have to learn the language! So this time, let’s look at different programming languages and their uses! In particular, let’s discuss Python, Java, JavaScript, Ruby, C, C#, C++, PHP, Swift and Go!

It’s such an amazing feeling being part of a great community of influencers and creators in this community… Women in tech have to stick together and I’m so happy I get to contribute to that! If you want to contribute, too, share some resources you find useful and tell us about your achievements and inspire someone else to go out and make their dreams come true! See you next week ?

Please let me know your thoughts in the comments below and if you’d like to share something for next week’s issue, here’s the submission form!! Bookmark that and add anything you’d like to share in there ?
