Women in Tech Weekly Issue 8
Can you believe that it’s already been 2 months since I’ve started this newsletter? I can’t!
It’s been so much fun celebrating all of you, amazing women – please keep all of these personal and career wins coming – as well as resources that you’d like to share with the world!
So let’s start with:
Christina has started an Instagram account to document her journey learning how to code and to keep herself motivated!
“I’m teaching myself to code in my free time, and I’m really liking it! I’m trying to keep myself motivated to continue to learn, even when it’s hard, so I created an Instagram account to show off my work and build a network of supportive developers that I can learn from.”
Welcome to this awesome tech community, Christina! You can do this and we are all here for you in case if you need support or motivation ❤️
Hi 👋🏼 I’m Christina, and I’m learning how to code. I’m starting this instagram account to keep myself motivated to learn new things. In case you don’t know me in real life, here are a few facts about me: 🏝 I grew up on an island in Washington state. 👰🏼 I recently got married—our 6-month anniversary is tomorrow! 🇪🇸 I’m fluent in Spanish and I LOVE Spain. I’d love to get a chance to live there someday. 👩🏼💻 I work remotely for a tech company in Washington. I do marketing, and sometimes a little bit of coding. That’s part of what drove me to learn how to code.

Sonia was selected to be an LSAMP (Louis Stokes Alliances for Minority Participation) Peer Mentor!
