Dasani has finished her senior project and her last day of classes!
In her own words: “My team and I created an Android Application to prevent food wastage for our senior project. It helps you keep track of your food and lets you know when it will expire. It will also suggest recipes based on the ingredients you have in your pantry. We worked on it for the whole semester and finally finished this week!”
SENIOR PROJECT ✔️ — Swipe to see how relieved I am to be done 😅😅😅 My team and I worked on and @android application to prevent food wastage. The app allows you to keep track of all the different food items you have and let's you know when they will expire. It also suggests recipes based on the items you have in your pantry. 🌯🥘🍲 It was our first time making an Android application and we got to learn all kinds of new things – Android studio, SQLite, Google Cloud, and so much more. It was a fun time but so glad to finally wrap this up! . . . #appdesigner #appdeveloper #developer #software #tech #devlog #dev #student #college #app #androidapp #android #androidstudio #womenintech #womenwhobuild #programming #programmer #developer #peoplewhocode #coder #codingisfun #coding #codinglife #programming #programmerlife #learntocode #buildupdevs #codergallery #java#java

Resources ??
1. Podcasts:
– Dr. Shini Somara’s podcast which gives women in STEM a voice – submitted by an Anonymous Badass:
“I would like to stay anonymous on this. Which is exactly what her podcast is about! The more people that hear it the better as it is about women and their true feelings about the stem career they’ve pursued. I think this is very important and valuable to give women a voice without feeling like they will get in trouble for saying certain things or trying to promote themselves.”

– The Programmer Toolbox by Kathryn Hodge and Robyn Silber
Kathryn and Robyn have created an awesome podcast, diving into what it’s like to be a software developer! They give tips for learners, demystify concepts and talk about career in tech.

– Learn to Code With Me by Laurence Bradford
Laurence’s amazing podcast delivers on it’s promise! She covers questions like: how to choose the right programming language and how to use your skills in tech to travel the world. Perfect for aspiring techies and any self-taught programmers out there!
