Dasani is moving to Seattle for her first full-time job!

In her own words:

“I am starting my first full-time job as a PM at Microsoft in a week! I moved across the country to Seattle and it’s beautiful.“

Going to take a break from unpacking and doodling to celebrate my move to Seattle!! I feel so much gratitude throughout this process – I think I'm just realizing how incredibly rare and privileged it is to be starting my first full-time job at @microsoft in about a week. And I have had so much support from family and friends throughout this move. Special shout out to @gopi_sadhu and @anusadhu for making the whole experience sweeter with cake 🙂 I'm so excited and equally nervous. Although I've had work experience through internships and part-time jobs those experiences had very different expectations and were for shorter amounts of time. What advice do you have for someone starting their first full-time job? . . . #newjob #programmanagement #womenwhocode #girlswhocode #programmerlife #devlife #devinitelyhealthy #coding #codergallery #devgirls #seattle #washington #drsuess #ohtheplacesyoullgo #adventureawaits #firstjob #microsoft #microsoftlife #lifeofadeveloper #bosswomen #tech #techgirl #womenintech #engineers #coderlife #movingacrossthecountry #firstapartment

Nathasha says:

“There are now many venture funds seeking out women-led businesses. The only problem is that there hasn’t been an easy way to figure out who these VCs are and what they’re looking for. This database helps with that!”

Virginia says:

“This is an article, based on the research of renowned psychologists, on how to become an expert through deliberate practice. Most importantly, it has the goal to change the belief that people are born with talent! Talent and expertise are acquired through time and everyone can develop them! ??”

Software was Women’s Work in 1940’s – created and shared by me 🙂

Did you know that women used to work as human computers and that tech was a mainstream career choice for women? Even Cosmopolitan published an article about it in the 1960’s – talking about many great career opportunities women can have in the industry! Watch this video to learn more about the history of women in tech and about the amazing female inventors and pioneers in the field!
